Today, I am excited to announce that the beta version of Task Pigeon is live and available for use.
This marks the start of our journey to build out an effective task management tool for every day teams and we would love for you to join the beta and share your feedback with us.
The original idea for Task Pigeon came almost 6 months ago after experiencing personal frustration with how my team was managing tasks, and the existing solutions on the market.
As a strong proponent of validating ideas, however, I didn’t jump straight in. I sought feedback from over 200 people and slowly began to identify “nuggets” of information that showed there was an opportunity.
The feedback I received proved the hypothesis that there is not a one-size fits all approach to task management. And people are open to new solutions.
Task Pigeon is the result of my initial idea, refined with the feedback I received. In essence, Task Pigeon is designed to be a simple and easy to understand tool that lets you create, assign and manage the tasks that you and your team work on each day.
Many existing solutions focus on the developer community and come with complex interfaces that are unnecessary for most commercial (sales, marketing, HR, management, customer service) teams.
While Task Pigeon can certainly be used in development teams (In fact, we have been using Task Pigeon to manage our own development plans) we are targeting business users with our launch.
Why? Because it’s our belief that task management solutions should support the functions of the business. Not add workload or overhead to your teams day. With Task Pigeon creating, assigning and collaborating on tasks is easy.
